Open position for a postdoctoral researcher

The HPC lab (http://hpc.isti.cnr.it/) of ISTI-CNR (https://www.isti.cnr.it/en/) is seeking a postdoctoral researcher with expertise in Information Retrieval and/or High-Performance Computing, as well as the expertise to design and apply advanced machine/deep learning techniques.
The successful candidate is expected to contribute to the SoBigData R.I. project funded by the Italian National Recovery and Resilience Plan (PNRR) to provide an integrated ecosystem for ethic-sensitive scientific discoveries and advanced applications of social data mining. She/he will collaborate with the HPC lab researchers on topics related to the broad area of efficiency in large-scale information systems.
The project will develop ML/DL approaches for answering effectively complex user queries within strict time constraints. Experience in neural information retrieval and in using novel computing platforms (GPUs, FPGAs) for running machine/deep learning models is desirable.
This position is full-time with funding for 24 months. The yearly gross salary is 51Keuro.
