Claudio Lucchese
Short Bio
Claudio Lucchese is professor at the Ca’ Foscari University of Venice - Department of Environmental Sciences, Informatics and Statistics (DAIS). His main research activities are in the areas of Information Retrieval, Explainable AI, Data Mining. He has published more than 100 papers on these topics in peer reviewed international journals, conferences and other venues. He won the Best Paper Award at the ACM SIGIR Conference on Research and Development in Information Retrieval 2015. He participated to and coordinated activities in European and Italian national projects. Since 2018 he is Delegate of the Head of the Department for Research activities. He is a member of the Data Mining and Information Retrieval Lab.
